'Like A Girl' is a collection of hyper-feminine textile prints and surfaces in response to the sexism and 'femmephobia' ingrained within society today. Femmephobia refers to the devaluation of femininity – a phenomenon which affects any person presenting feminine, including men. This collection aims to celebrate femininity and effeminacy in a fun and exaggerated way; through the use of hyper feminine elements such as lace, bows, gingham, and florals, and materials such as fur, velvet, and silk. Sweet pastels make up most of the colour palette, as well as different shades of pink in order to emphasise exaggerated femininity.

Amongst this celebration, there is a political undertone identified through the use of edgy text, whereby sexist phrases and preconceived notions of femininity are highlighted and challenged. Ultimately, this collection seeks to reclaim and portray hyper femininity in a positive light.
