Biscuits are a simple joy in everyday life. They are a universal food found throughout the world and are considered a staple treat in most households. From Bourbons to Chocolate Digestives, everyone has their preference and opinion on their favourite biscuit.

This project explores and breaks down biscuits. Through research, experimenting, travelling, making, baking and eating, I have immersed myself in the world of biscuits by looking into the offering, the knowledge and the comfort that is connected to biscuits. 'The Biscuit Pilgrimage' is a set of tiles telling the story of a journey I took to receive biscuits from cloistered nuns in Madrid. 'An Assortment of Knowledge' is a biscuit tin housing biscuit books that share unique stories behind this simple everyday household treat. Finally, there is a biscuit typeface, designed and baked to demonstrate and emphasise the comfort and care a biscuit can give.
