‘Divine Duality’ is a collection inspired by the balances of femininity and masculinity within myself. Femininity is usually considered a weakness among men. However, I find that there is great power and freedom within the Feminine Masculine. The collection explores my identity as a queer person and is a celebration of the queer community.

This collection features historically masculine shapes with feminine detail. The collection represents femininity through colour, fabrics and details, and has an overall masculine silhouette. Visual research for this collection came from Renaissance marble statues and 1800s men's tailoring. I recreated different garments following an 1892 tailor's pattern making book which shaped how I formed my final pieces. By exploring historical forms of masculinity it becomes clear that masculinity and femininity are subjective and evolve over time.
