By 2030, one in five people in Ireland will be 65 years or older. Ageing is a natural phenomenon with opportunities and challenges. How can we promote community involvement and connection for a positive future for this growing demographic?

'PRoP' is an ergonomically designed, standing workbench for older adults. It addresses the problem of bending and lifting through thoughtfully designed features while creating purpose through propagation.

An important factor in older adults' ability to remain living within local communities is good health. Gardening provides a positive outlet for this. 'PRoP' assists gardening practices through its workflow stages and promotes activities which increase quality of life, such as social engagement, purposeful endeavours and exercise.

I am an award-winning designer with a passion for socially inclusive design. The principal goal of my projects is to be playful, meaningful and as empathetic as possible. I design products and services that are colourful and engaging and aim to make a positive impact on the world around us.
