My work is an attempt to capture small significant moments in ordinary life in drawing and painting. The subject matter is domestic, my children, myself, my dog. I use unposed photos taken with my phone. I like the angles made by limbs, how light finds its way, and how humans show so much of themselves in how they hold their bodies. Drawing and painting are where I attempt to scoop out what I see in a photo and highlight it with my own lines and colours.
