Through my work, I focus on evoking emotion and connecting to the viewer through spoken word and immersive sculptures. My inspiration is the flow of the human body and mind, and how this correlates to organic mould or fungi. Examining the mind as a blank, white wall, it explores how social media – which can promote body dysmorphia – can infest the psyche like mould on a damp bathroom ceiling. One small speck of derision can infect the entirety of a healthy space, morphing and corrupting the whole welfare of the mind.

Using latex moulds of varied stomachs and reflective surfaces, I shine a new light on intrusive thoughts by showing people they are never alone. When you view my work in a group setting, you aren’t the only person contemplating your personal connection to the piece.
