My work is about the lure of the ordinary. Walking is central to my research, an attentive practice that allows me to consider some often overlooked spaces. My focus is currently drawn to the seemingly hostile urban environments in which flora continues to occupy. Amidst the grey street pavements, cracked walls and neglected spaces spontaneous urban plants push through. Through layering a heavy variety of materials, I attempt to interpret both the organic and inorganic qualities collected from these quiet spaces.
