This collection explores my conflicting thoughts and emotions about religion and feminism through design and drawing.
The playful adventure in my constructions allows me to develop my designs and even continue my journey with my faith. I've studied artists of all kinds who create works that evoke a stir of emotion and conversation for their viewers. As I weave through decisions and thoughts, my designs take on continuous development showing their evolution to the final stage. I focus on beading and my symbolic designs to allow my thoughts to move from paper to material.
I want a person to look at my work, to see my journey and to reflect on their connection with their own religious or belief structures. I want my work to be more than just something you look at, I want it to provoke thought and discussion. To move a person in emotion and thought.
