The sense of smell is one of our most powerful senses. It effects ones emotions, memory and creativity. It could be called 'the invisible communicator' for it speaks to us consciously or unconsciously once the smell is perceived. Scent and the receptacles in which it is contained are the main inspiration driving my degree project. Fabric manipulation including, pleating techniques, hand beading and tasselling are the main sampling developments underpinning this work.

Sustainability is important to my work. I intend to use sustainably produced fabrics and for my garments to have longevity.
