Throughout the years, I have been rediscovering ideas and thoughts of my child self through experimental making. I’ve always been interested in lists and verbose media, as seen in children's books and ephemeral material like receipts and shopping lists. My practice has consistently explored elements of play and repetition in daily life and behaviours, but resurfaced conspicuously when expressed through artistic mediums in the last year. Key themes in my work are familiarity and nostalgic ideas expressed in a colourful setting through organic linework and abstraction. The objective of my work is to create a calming, meditative process for myself as the artist and for the viewer to find comfort in.
