My name is Keith Malone and I am a contemporary painter based in Dublin. Drawing from a vast array of influences, ranging from poetry and myth to nature and contemporary media, I use painting as a form of inquiry into notions of identity, self-obsession and the fragility of time.

Often my daily experiences become fully intertwined with the outcomes, allowing my relationship with a particular painting to develop over time; this is also my intention for the viewer, that encounters with my paintings should enable them to have deeply personal and self-reflective experiences.

My work consists of heavily researched investigations into the structure of art and art history within a contemporary context, focusing particularly on the nuances of artistic expression and consciousness in relation to the wider cultural sphere, whilst attempting to maintain meaningful and intimate connections within said context.
