Working with oil paint on wooden panels, I create surreal works which are almost dreamlike in quality. They are realised by manipulating photographs that I have collected from old magazines and creating a collage, enlarging and minimising images, or painting over photographs and creating an eerie composition in preparation for painting.

My work combines unexpected scenarios that explore the figure and how it occupies the empty interior and exterior space. It is influenced by artists such as Michaël Borremans and Lisa Brice. In terms of the process of my work, it is very slow and thought out and I am constantly editing my work. Most importantly, I like to entertain myself as well as the viewer when creating these works. There is a slight humour to my work such as bizarre scenarios that are sometimes unsettling to the viewer.
