I am an embroidery artist, and also hand paint and dye the fabric I use in my artwork. During my studies I have developed a passion for printed textile design and have incorporated some of these techniques into my current work.

Since childhood I have had a fascination for history, and studied archaeology in university. I am drawn to the voices of our collective human history and Carl Jung’s theory of the 'Collective Unconscious' – that a small part of our deepest unconscious mind is inherited from all of our ancestors. I want to give a voice to our collective unconscious by looking at the evidence left for us by our ancestors.

There are two direct inspirations for my current collection. The first is the Neolithic art of the Brú na Bóinne complex, and the second is a collection of Edwardian postcards I have owned since I was a child.
