Ecology – seen as a 'radical revaluation of relationality' – inspires me towards eco-social subjects and stories which exhibit our common vulnerabilities within the circumstances that make them so. My practice combines a documentarian impulse with fabrications in the form of still and moving images, in the pursuit of flickers of truth within entanglements of fact and fiction.

'On the Float' is a reflexive documentary exploring both the theme of masculinity as well as the struggles of undertaking such a project. Its nonlinear bricolage assembly meshes interview extracts of conflicting perspectives with found, staged and candid scenes ranging from intense football rivalries to a fear of heights.

'Lads Chat' is a series of digital collages made with found images, reappropriated from an all-male social media group chat and manipulated into expressionistic depictions of the masculine experience. Like masculinity, the composite images are uncertain and ambiguous, their surfaces threatened by what might lie beneath.
