I have been continually interested in the theme of identity. To be more specific, I am curious about the way in which we as humans have the impulse to rapidly construct and fabricate identities when we are met with new people or environments. Through the field of my own personal experiences, I have explored the negatives to looking at self-hood as a negotiable or fluid entity.
To explore this I have used soft materials to represent how quickly we can make and take apart our made up characters and to also portray the potential blankness that can occur if we continued to explore our identities without caution.
