'Ignorance is Bliss' is a printed womenswear collection that challenges us to recognise and question many of the horrific events that take place across the world today. We become desensitised to graphic displays of brutality due to our ability to access such media through the internet.

My collection touches on subjects like violence towards humanity, large-scale conflicts such as war, corruption, gentrification, the basic rights of safe living, climate change and the destruction of our planet. It aims to stop us in our tracks, to make us think and re-examine the injustice behind such scenes of terror.

I use printed textiles as a medium to wake up and shake up many of us to these subjects by creating hyper realistic scenes through collage and photography that is based on the barbaric world we live in. The wearer of these prints will be a walking
advertisement for change.
