As an artist and educator my practice has always been focused on the excessive amount of discarded industrial and domestic waste products that we humans dispose of without thought to how this may affect the environment, or the size of the carbon foot print we leave behind us for future generations to deal with.
I look at objects that are discarded as an opportunity to create something new, give the object a new story, one that makes a person question why we throw so much away, and how they could reuse the object. Why not reimagine the discarded objects and awaken their creative side? As an artist and educator it is my duty to pass on what I have learned, how discarded waste objects can be reclaimed, reused and reimagined as materials to create new interesting and exciting works of art. My motto is very simple (Reclaim, Reuse, Reimagine).
