I'm a Latvian illustrator based in Ireland, I'm heavily inspired by dark fantasy and horror. My work tends to be quite chaotic with heavy lines and a variety of splatters that resemble the Dublin City streets.

For this project, I wanted to explore the topic of memory and foreign experiences. I moved to Ireland when I was ten years old, this gave me a unique upbringing and perspective. Twelve years later I still struggle with certain aspects of day-to-day life. I wanted to explore my feelings through the use of sculpture, painting and animation.
The three outcomes contain the elements of my most cherished, and dearest childhood memories from Latvia, that I reflected upon. Through this project I intended to discover the sense of national pride towards my home country through
my memories.

The final piece is based around the idea of memory and childhood. Being raised in Latvia , snow and winter was always something magical. When I moved to Ireland snow changed to rain, and gradually memories of home faded away.
