L'art de Vivre'; an appreciation of every day, awareness of our environment and ourselves. All are grounded in dasein and our perception of space.

Using drawing, lithography and photography as means of translation, Justine interacts with her environment, leaving behind traces of her presence. Her interaction with the space is meditative, creating parallels between art, time, negative space and life, capturing the importance of awareness of presence through frottages and transformations of these. The process of creating pastels allows for a more profound involvement in her own experience of presence in the room she works in, which deepens the connection to the space and herself.

Through her focus on the wall's surface textures, she brings forth the importance of the space and how it subconsciously affects us.

The walls are used as a medium to lead us on a journey.
