As a multidisciplinary artist, my main interest is in storytelling; exploring multiple narratives through biographical, fictional and fantastical lenses to convey a sense of emotion, which can range from absurdly humorous to full of foreboding. For me, this scope of feeling is evoked through being a mother; figuring out how best to balance the needs of others with one’s own personal desires and autonomy as an individual.

Using a variety of methods across the disciplines of sculpture, drawing, print and paint, relationship ruptures and repairs are a common theme of my work, most especially when bonds between humans are disrupted or triggered by challenging events whether collectively, or at an individual or family-based level. This leads to repeated investigations of identity, roles and responsibilities. I hope to continue to create art in the future which communicates truthfully, igniting recognition and imagination in the viewer.
