“A Minute in my Life” is an exhibition based on the artists personal experiences as an Autistic individual. The artist wishes to invite you to a talk based on her experience of growing up undiagnosed and the implications this had on her. She will discuss her journey through the mental health system within Ireland and her journey to diagnosis. She will share her thoughts on how to better provide for those in situations similar to herself within education. She will share how she is coming to terms with her new found “disability” and beginning to understand herself. This thirty minute talk will be followed by a Q&A with the artist herself. Tea, Coffee and Biscuits will be served afterwards to aid in the comfort of participants. The artist wishes to make the event as accessible as possible so will be available to aid guests viewing the exhibit. She will also be present if guests would like to talk one on one, as this will help if any guests feel uncomfortable posing questions in a group.
